Make contingency plans for DACA workers

Undocumented “dreamers” allowed to work legally in the United States through the Delayed Action on Childhood Arrivals program won a temporary reprieve Feb. 26 when the U.S. Supreme Court turned down the government’s petition to begin rescinding work permits on March 5. However, litigation continues to cloud the future of dreamers.

Bill would expand number of H-1B visas

New California law penalizes cooperating with ICE

California law AB-450, which went into effect Jan. 1, makes it unlawful for employers to consent to give access to “any nonpublic area of a place of labor” to an immigration enforcement agent without a search warrant signed by a judge, or to give access to employee records without a subpoena or a search warrant.
